Adventuresome First Sale

I've recently been configuring my merchant account for GoldSteelAndStone.com and while I was in test mode, trying to get it to work, I found an email notification for a transaction that I did not make.

Naturally enough I was curious, and soon discovered that someone had wandered onto my site and purchases 2 Black IP Chronographs by Swiss Legend.

My first sale! But Authorize.net was still in test mode! I panicked a little, then sent my customer an apology. After a little negotiating, we settled upon 50% off the second watch by way of rebate on a second attempt at the transaction.

It's interesting what a little extra incentive can do for your efficiency. I learned more about Authorize.net in the next couple of hours than I did in the whole preceding week.

Almost There!

I'm excited.

GoldSteelAndStone.com is almost ready for customers. I've put a lot of after hours work into it and would very much like to see it flourish.

The goal is to provide quality mens jewelry at great prices. I'm starting with mainly mens rings and mens watches, but I have a few other mens accessories as well.

It looks like I have some corrections to make in the Mens Accessories category and a whole lot of stale descriptions to rewrite. I think I'll rotate between Mens Rings and Mens Watches first before worrying about the accessories.
